Our Story
Hi, my name is Tina Dawson and I started Tulips Italian Ice in October of 2020 during the Covid-19 lockdowns.
I saw how businesses were shutting down around Sanford and I wanted to bring something to the community that would put a smile on people’s faces when the lockdowns were finally lifted.
Additionally this business will help serve the homeless. Prior to Covid I volunteered in kitchens that served the homeless or provided them other services. With “Tulips Italian Ice”, I have the opportunity to be of greater service and provide a treat that is sure to bring happiness to their lives.
This includes the shelters that are in Sanford Florida as well as the battered women shelters in the area. My plan is, once a month, to package at a minimum 50-100 Icey-cups and drop them off to various charities and first responder locations in rotation.
